Directed by Miguel A. Acevedo with Musical Direction by Steven Loftus, this horror/musical satire — everyone’s favorite boy-meets-girl, plant-eats-world phenomenon — was one of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time. A down-and out “skid row” floral assistant, Seymour Krelborn, becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for “fresh blood”. Soon Audrey II grows into an ill-tempered, fresh-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore that offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite. The feeding-frenzy begins, as Seymour becomes a celebrity and the plant becomes a larger-than-life sensation with much larger aspirations…
The Cast included: Chris Anderson of New Rochelle, Danielle Budde of Port Chester, Michelle Moriarty of Somers, Rene O’Neal of White Plains, Ritesh Rajan of Mahopac, Adriana Rogers of Carmel, Stephen Sporer of Pelham, Michael Timmons of Hawthorne, and Glenn Weill of Pleasantville.
The Production Team included: Set Designer Joe Egan, Lighting Designer David Pentz, Costume Designer Gina Romano, and Stage Manager Courtney Hyland. The show was co-produced by Judy Toscano and Miguel A. Acevedo.
